Spearco Air to Air Replacement Intercooler Upgrade

We have measured an average intake air temperature drop of 336.8 degrees on a load dyno using aftermarket injectors. At 37 PSI boost, we measured less than 1 PSI of pressure loss across the core. Max EGT's on a SuperFlow load dyno pulling the motor to a stall, were 1312 degrees. We have measured this intercooler at 76% peak efficiency under full load conditions with 484 degree inlet temps! Spearco's bar and plate core technology utilizes aerospace grade aluminum that are vacuum brazed under strict conditions. They are capable of withstanding the highest pressure as compared to standard conventional tube and fin intercooler cores. Each core is uniquely designed with a fin combination to achieve the maximum effectiveness with minimal pressure drop. Our bar and plate design has a uniform dimension across the entire core as compared to the standard tube and fin design that utilizes a larger header plate. Each Spearco Racing Intercooler features hand fabricated end tanks, CNC machined lips on all inlet and outlet tubes to prevent hose slippage, and are individually pressure tested to guarantee leak-free performance.

Spearco Air to Air Retrofit Intercooler Upgrade

Conventional intercooler cores are thin-walled, extruded aluminum tubes that are not designed to handle extreme boost pressures, and limit cooling performance because of their narrow width. W.A.V.E. Technology Cores utilize the latest design advances in strength and durability and maximize cooling effectiveness through a greater surface area. Wider is better!

This is the widest core you can get for your 7.3 diesel! We have measured a reduction of 8 lbs. of turbo drive pressure over stock with this intercooler! Our kit includes two coated, beaded hard pipes, two boots, and clamps to attach to the factory 7.3 intercooler pipes. In some trucks, relocation of the transmission cooler hoses is required. Clearance is tight, so double check fitments before and after test driving. Shim hood latch, if needed. Each Spearco Racing Intercooler features hand fabricated end tanks, CNC machined lips on all inlet and outlet tubes to prevent hose slippage, and are individually pressure tested to guarantee leak-free performance. These cores are DOUBLE welded for added burst strength. Intercoolers carry a one year replacement warranty.
